BIOLASE® 

 

 

BIOLASE® Technology designs innovative dental lasers to reduce the complexity and trauma associated with many common dental procedures.  The drill (aka the ‘handpiece’) strikes fear into the hearts of many with its noise, vibration, and heat.

The BIOLASE® is an extremely versatile piece of dental equipment.  It can be used to perform or expedite many procedures including:

  • Caries removal.
  • Cavity preparation.
  • Dentin and enamel procedures.
  • Gum lifts and reshaping.
  • Removal of decay.
  • Soft tissue procedures.

What benefits does BIOLASE® offer?

BIOLASE® works by precisely combining atomized water and laser energy to gently remove hard and soft tissue.  This precision laser means that in most cases, there is no need for anesthesia.  Additionally, the laser actually sterilizes the surgical area, meaning that there is less risk of bacterial invasions or infections.  For children and fearful patients, the BIOLASE® offers a needleless, painless way to achieve the perfect smile.

Here are some reasons why using BIOLASE® is preferable to the traditional dental drill:

How are BIOLASE® procedures performed?

Though each BIOLASE® procedure differs in detail, some elements remain constant.  First, protective eyewear will be provided to protect the eyes.  Second, a small BIOLASE®  laser will project streams of atomized water to cut into the hard or soft tissue.  The laser sterilizes as it moves, which means that in the case of soft tissue augmentation, the whole procedure can be completed in a single visit.

The BIOLASE® laser increases comfort levels, reduces anxiety, and reduces cost.  In addition, it is one of the least invasive, most effective tools that dentists have at their fingertips.  BIOLASE® can significantly improve the health of the teeth and restore the beauty of the smile.

Right when you walk in it feels so homie! All of the staff are so welcoming and cheerful, I really enjoyed how precise Dr. Raymer was in informing me about things that most dentists haven't done before, which made me feel like he knows what he is doing. And treats each patient of his with the utmost care. I really enjoyed my dental hygienist, Francie, she's very personable and I love how she really explained the reasons of why people should take care of their teeth rather than just saying "make sure you floss!" and then your on your way. Overall I would recommend Dr. Raymer's office to anyone who is wanting to have the utmost care for themselves and their families!

I've had yellow and gray tetracycline-stained teeth since childhood. I was bullied in elementary school. I learned to smile with my mouth closed, avoided wearing white, and never wore dark lipstick because my teeth were so ugly for 50 years! I tried whitening treatments at other dentists and Crest Whitestrips. Nothing worked. Dr. Raymer recommended a new whitening treatment that worked well on tetracycline stains and I decided to try it. LIFE CHANGER! I now have bright white teeth and I can't stop smiling with my teeth showing! Dr. Raymer and his team are just awesome!! Happy Dance!
